Julie McLean, OwnerSIBU SURA Chocolates is the first premium, handcrafted bean to chocolate producer in the Maryland and Virginia area. We began our journey in 2007 in Virginia, and are now located in the quaint town of Myersville, Maryland. We offer an exquisite selection of micro-batch chocolate that is made at our factory directly from the bean. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality organic and natural products, while engaging in fair trade practices and supporting sustainable agriculture.

The quality of SIBU SURA chocolate begins with the hand selection of our single origin cacao beans we discovered in Peru. Our high quality premium cacao beans are 100% organic and fair trade; only the finest selection derived from selective regions. All of our ingredients are carefully chosen and offer both traditional flavors, as well as unusual fusions. We use only the finest and freshest ingredients available in the market: organic and kosher whole milk powder, pure organic and fair trade cocoa butter, organic and fair trade pure cane sugar, and organic fair trade Madagascar vanilla beans.

SIBU SURA’s business practices include using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) packaging while promoting environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. Being socially conscious and environmentally cognizant is paramount. Of course we like to emphasize the many attributes of chocolate in general. Our mantra is “Good for the Body. Good for the Soul.
